Zosia and the runaway sock

Zosia and the runaway sock
Zosia is sitting on the carpet looking for her socks. Today is sports day at school. Mum calls out: "Zosia, hurry up!". The cat Mruk is guarding the laundry basket. Suddenly the basket trembles and jumps. A pea sock jumps out of the basket. The sock jumps up and squeaks: "Pi, pi!". Zosia stands up and grabs the sock by the heel. The sock slips like a fish. The crow meows and chases the sock under the washing machine. The washing machine glows blue. A sign flashes on the door: "Entrance for socks only". A rhythm and a merry sloshing can be heard from the drum. A sock taps on the door three times. The door swings open like a small gate. Warm steam blows from inside like soups. "Let's go!" squeaks the sock and does a flip. A voice is heard from the washing machine: "Tickets, please!". Raven puts up her ears and Zosia takes a step. The voice counts down: "Three... two..."
