It was raining and grey outside. Lila was sitting in a small room in the attic. Next to the bed stood the box from the big fridge. She made a ship out of the box and made sails out of a blanket. On the side she painted a star and an anchor. - The ship is ready, captain! - she whispered and switched on the lamp. The yellow light pretended to be the moon over the quiet carpet. Lila put a shell from the beach to her ear. The shell rustled with wind and quiet words. - Are you swimming? Are you sailing to Our Land today? Under her desk she found a chalk and a small pencil. She drew a window on the box with a thick frame. The window shone like a mirror and then twitched. On the other side she could see the striped sky. Something was approaching, gliding straight towards the window. Lila grabbed the helm and took a deep breath. And then a knock, knock sounded in the frame....
