Whispering objects club
In the heart of the city, hidden behind an old park, stood a library as if from a dream - with tall bookcases, creaky floors and dusty corridors where the light of lanterns came through stained-glass windows. That evening, Julia - a student with the soul of a mystery seeker - stayed in the reading room after closing time. She silently hoped to find forgotten volumes in a section where no one usually looked. Before she knew it, midnight had struck.
Suddenly, the silence was broken by a quiet giggle. Julia straightened up, trying to locate the source. At the end of the alley, she spotted an old globe that.... was spinning! Next to it, a table lamp was flickering with light, and the centuries-old clock punching out the time had turned the hands back five minutes. Julia rubbed her eyes, thinking it was fatigue playing tricks on her. However, when she touched the globe, she heard a whisper: "We've been waiting for you."
With each passing moment, more and more objects came to life. Each had its own voice, personality and secrets. The globe was clearly a leader, the lamp an incorrigible optimist and the clock a perpetual nag, complaining about people's lack of punctuality. "Why did you convene the Whispering Objects Club?" - asked Julia, feeling excitement and anxiety.
"There is something much more valuable than books hidden in the library," replied the globe, its continents glittering mysteriously. "But only a person who can listen can find the key."
At the same moment, a protracted rasp sounded from behind the curtains - the door to the secret room began to open slowly, and a barely audible whisper came from the darkness: "Careful, Julia. You're not alone here..."
