It was the beginning of autumn, and the leaves in the Emerald Forest were ablaze with all shades of gold and red. This place knew a thousand stories, but this year something was about to happen that not even the oldest residents could remember. The main character of this story was a fox named Tiko. He had amber fur, sharp eyes and a nose like a radar detecting every change in the forest. But Tiko was not a loner - his best friends were his owl Mania, who knew everything about plants and stars, and his hedgehog Tymek, an expert at squeezing through the smallest gaps. One Saturday night, as the mist began to drift between the trees, Tiko heard a strange sound coming from the oldest part of the forest, called by the animals the Corner of Silence. No one usually went there - even wolves avoided the place by a wide margin. However, the fox's curiosity was stronger than his fear. He sprang up from his bed made of dry leaves and ran to wake his friends. - Mania! Tymek! Did you hear that? - he whispered, tapping lightly with his paw on the trunk where the owl lived. - 'It's definitely the wind,' yawned Mania, but immediately afterwards her feathers fluttered slightly. - Although... this sound was different. - Better than a dull night! - added Tymek, curling up his spikes. - Shall we go? The three friends crept quietly under the cover of darkness. Tiko led the way, Mania glided above them, and Tymek followed closely behind the fox, watching out for any rustling. As they approached the Corner of Silence, the air became heavy and all the birds became silent, as if something large and unseen was hovering among the pines. - 'It's getting louder,' whispered Mania, squatting on a branch. - 'Sounds like... singing? But who sings at this hour? Suddenly, from behind the trunk of a huge birch tree, a bright, bluish light flashed. The friends froze in stillness. Strange silhouettes emerged from the light - they were unlike any animals they had ever seen. Tiko felt his heart beating faster than usual. Each of them waited to see what would happen next, because what they saw could change not only their night, but their entire lives in the Emerald Forest....
