The beach at the Sea Harbour was usually empty after nine o'clock. The wind rustled the tents and umbrellas bowed to the waves. This time, however, three teenagers still sat on the darkening sand, gazing at the setting sun. Antek hurled a seashell into the distance, trying to hit a small cove. Next to him, Lena was struggling with her camera. Simon, with his nose in a comic book, seemed to hear neither his friends nor the noise of the sea. - Come on, you can't see anything in this light anyway," said Szymon, not taking his eyes off the drawings of superheroes. - I want to take a picture of the storm - Lena insisted. - Mum said there might be lightning today. Maybe something special will happen... Antek turned around suddenly. The clouds in the west were the shade of ink, and a sharp white line crossed the horizon. Before he had time to say anything, he felt a familiar tingling inside him. The three friends were not ordinary. Each of them, for some time, had carried something strange about them - Antek could sometimes hold back the wind for a moment, Lena could see things that others did not, and Simon... Simon broke off suddenly. - 'Guys, there's something in the water! I hear... someone calling me - he muttered, picking himself up from the sand. Lightning cut through the sky, illuminating a figure emerging from the foam. The waves parted as if on command, and the wind swished around Antek, weaving into his hair and whispering something unintelligible.
