The Time Watch
Professor George Alton, a renowned scientist, lived in an old historic house sunk in a part of London that had been forgotten for years. His life was full of discovery and, despite his advanced age, science and innovation were like oxygen to him.
One day Alton decided he was going to do something incredible. He set about creating a watch that would allow him to travel through time. He worked on it non-stop, ate little and slept little. After many months of sleepless nights, the Time Travel Watch became a reality. It was beautiful, gold with little blue stones on the dial that always pulsed as if it had a heart of its own. The professor proudly put it on his wrist, not yet realising that this invention would change his life.
The day came when he decided to test his creation. He turned the crown of the watch and suddenly disappeared. For a moment, he disappeared from reality, only to reappear at a time and place of his choosing. His first journey was a bewildering one. He went to old England - the early 20th century. He saw things he had only read about in history books. He felt like a king of the world.
After a few days of experimenting with time, Alton suddenly realised he was trapped. The watch had stopped working, and he was stuck in an era he couldn't understand or adapt to. The more he tried to find a way back in, the more he realised that he was in a trap he had created himself.
