The Stone Dragon and the Tiny Rose

The Stone Dragon and the Tiny Rose
Far beyond the hills, where the sun wakes up earlier than anywhere else, lies the Enchanted Forest. This forest is home not only to birds and animals, but also to extraordinary creatures that few people know about. This is where a girl called Rose lived. Rose was seven years old, had curly hair and a great imagination. She always carried with her a colourful hat and a notebook in which she drew anything that delighted her. One morning, when the dew was still glistening on the leaves, Rose decided to take a trip to find a new flower for her collection of drawings. The sun was shining warmly and the birds were singing merrily. Walking deep into the woods, Rose suddenly heard a quiet snoring. She stopped and looked around. Under a large, mossy oak tree lay .... a dragon! But it was no ordinary dragon. It was all made of pale stone, and its scales glittered like little mirrors. The dragon snored so loudly that the leaves trembled. Rose approached cautiously and touched its paw. The dragon opened one eye and looked around surprised. - Hello! - said Rose bravely. - Why are you sleeping here alone? The dragon yawned widely and explained that he had lost his stone tail in a storm and could not continue to fly through the enchanted forest. Without his tail, he felt unsteady and a little sad. Rose thought for a moment and then said she would help him. She took out of her rucksack a map of the forest that she had once drawn, and together with her new friend they started to look for signs of the missing tail. They walked through the moss, looked under the ferns and moved twigs, until suddenly something rustled in the thicket. The dragon lifted his head and Rose squeezed the hat on his head tighter. Before them, in the middle of the forest clearing, a blue glow appeared. It looked like a luminous path leading into the unknown.... Rose and the dragon looked at each other surprised. What could be waiting at the end of the luminous path? Would they find the dragon's stone tail there, or would they meet something even more amazing? Rose took a step towards the luminous path and the dragon followed right behind her....
