The sixth sense of the forest
Under the cover of the first June mists, when the sun was still lazily rubbing its eyes, a group of unusual animals met in the heart of Starolesia. The werewolf Nico, with his gleaming steel eyes, was always the leader of the pack. The squirrel Lila, who wouldn't betray her place even to owls by any sound, hid a map scrawled on a bark in her fur pocket. The closer they got to the centre, the more the forest seemed to live a life of its own. Trees whispered, roots tangled their paws and the air grew heavy and sticky like a summer storm.
Until suddenly they stood at the edge of a clearing they had never seen before. In the middle, between the mossy stones, a strange purple light pulsed. Something moved there - it was none of the creatures they knew. Everything around them fell silent, as if the whole forest had held its breath.
Before they had time to communicate, Nico took a step forward and....
