The Secret Drawer in Cuba's Room
Cuba had an ordinary room - or at least he thought he did. It was full of books, a teddy bear with one eye and a big wardrobe in which he liked to hide. But what he liked best of all the furniture was his creaky old chest of drawers. One morning, when the birds were chirping outside the window and the sun was creeping in through the curtain, Cuba noticed something strange.
One of the drawers in the chest of drawers was slightly out of place. The boy was sure he had closed it last night. He came closer and saw that there was a coloured key lying inside, sparkling with rainbow colours. Where had it come from? Kuba looked around his room. There was no one behind the door and his mother was still asleep.
The boy took the key in his hand. It was tiny and as light as a feather. Suddenly, a soft, quiet knock-knock-knock sounded from inside the drawer. Kuba jumped up in surprise. A tiny mist came out of the drawer, danced in the air and... began to form the shape of an object!
Cuba realised that this was no ordinary drawer. What could be inside it and what did this mysterious key belong to? Kuba brought his hand closer to the drawer, feeling his heart beating faster and faster, when suddenly he heard an even louder - knock-knock-knock!
