Cuba was seven years old and his younger sister Anna was five. One cloudy afternoon they were visiting their grandmother in her old country house. In the guest room there was a huge old wardrobe that always seemed to them a little scary and a little curious. Grandma said: "You can play hide and seek, just be careful!" Annie's eyes sparkled with joy. "I'll hide!" she shouted and quickly ran into the room with the wardrobe. Kuba ran after her. He opened the creaking wardrobe door and... he couldn't believe his eyes! Instead of the usual shelves of clothes, there was a small wooden door in the middle of the wardrobe. There was a drawing of a rainbow on the door, and coloured lights sparkled all around it. Anne whispered: "Kuba, can you see it? Maybe there's a treasure or a secret garden in there!" Kuba grabbed his sister's hand. The door began to open slowly, making quiet, melodious sounds. Behind them there was a bright light and the laughter and sounds of children playing could be heard. Cuba and Anya looked at each other with wide eyes. They took a step forward, wondering who or what was waiting on the other side of the door....
