Beyond the mountains and forests, where the sea water is as cold as ice and the wind sings songs of adventure, there lived a little Viking named Olaf. Olaf had red hair, cheerful eyes and his own wooden helmet, which his dad made for him. Olaf's best friend was Solveig, who always had a furry cuddly little bear with her. They also had a dog called Loki, who loved to bark at the waves and run along the shore. One morning Olaf woke up early. The sun was just peeking through the long house and the sea was humming quietly. Olaf rushed to Solveig: 'Solveig! Did you hear that? Grandfather saw from the boat an island that is not on any map!" Solveig jumped up and down with joy. "Maybe huge strawberries grow there or dragon birds live there! We have to go sailing!" A rowboat was already waiting in the harbour. Olaf, Solveig and Loki jumped in. The waves were gentle and the wind hummed in their hair. They sailed for a long time, singing Viking songs. Suddenly, the sea was covered by a thick, white fog. Nothing could be seen! Loki put his ears up and began to growl quietly. Then a strange shadow emerged in front of the bow of the boat. Out of the mist slowly rose a huge island, whose shore was made of coloured stones, and among them grew huge star-shaped flowers. Olaf and Solveig watched with bated breath. Strange sounds could be heard, as if something was whispering their names. A bright figure flashed on the shore.... Olaf squeezed Solveig's hand tighter. What awaited them there? Who was the figure on the shore? And would they be able to find their way back through the fog? That was something they already had to find out for themselves...
