The night when everything changed
Neon never went to sleep. The city was bustling with lights and noise, especially at night, when some of the residents were just beginning to really live. In one of the high-rise buildings, in an attic full of old film posters, three friends - Lena, Marcin and Tymon - spent the night hours talking about everyday problems and dreaming of something big that would change their lives.
It all started with a sudden power outage. The lamps went out abruptly and a cold breeze blew in through the window. Lena felt a slight tingling in her fingers, which suddenly flashed with sparks of light. Martin, terrified, tried to close the curtains, but instead the fabric moved of its own accord, as if obeying his will. Tymon, in turn, suddenly heard voices - not from outside, but in his head, as if someone was whispering to him from afar.
The friends were silent for a moment, each analysing what had just happened. Lena looked at her hands, which slowly stopped glowing. Martin closed his eyes, trying to figure out how to control the material without touching it. Tymon listened to the new sounds, trying to distinguish his own thoughts from those of strangers.
Suddenly, the sound of a phone rang out in the silence. An unfamiliar message appeared on the screen: "Do you know why you are different? This is just the beginning. Meet me at midnight on the roof of the Orion Tower. I'm waiting. Someone who knows more."
The friends looked at each other in disbelief. They knew they had to decide whether to take up the challenge. Thunder rolled over the city and the lights of Neon began to flicker, as if something big was about to happen that very night....
