The Nebula of Hearts and the Mystery of Hyperion

The Nebula of Hearts and the Mystery of Hyperion
The research vessel 'Astraea' hovered motionless at the edge of the pulsating Heart Nebula, where purple clouds of gas danced between the stars like coloured veils at a ball of intergalactic spirits. The three-man crew - Captain Anka, Engineer Emil and Astrologer Zoe - sat in the wheelhouse, staring at a 3D projection of a section of the nebula. For the past three weeks, their mission had been to investigate radio anomalies that had suddenly intensified in this part of the galaxy. Emil shifted nervously in his seat, following the strange sequence of signals appearing on the monitor. "Look at this. The signal is made up of repeating fragments. It looks like... an alphabet?" Zoe, always ready to figure out Cosmos' puzzles, immediately rushed over the console. "That's impossible. No known civilisation in this part of the Milky Way could send something like that. Unless..." Suddenly the deck shook slightly. The control candles flickered and the ship received a strong energy pulse, launching everyone from their seats. As the situation calmed down, Zoe saw something on the screen that took her breath away: the holographic outline of an ancient space station, hidden among the nebulous clouds. The station looked as if it came from a forgotten era - it was covered in strange symbols and geometric patterns that shimmered to the rhythm of a puzzling signal. "I've never seen anything like this before," Anka whispered. "It looks like it's been abandoned for millennia. Maybe that's the source of the signal?" Emil nodded and reached for his helmet. "We need to go in there. This could be the greatest discovery in human history." The crew quickly prepared for the expedition. They approached the foggy hangar of the station and crossed the threshold, illuminating the interior with torches. The corridors were quiet and dark, but reflections of greenish light flashed across the walls. Suddenly, the door on the left slid open noiselessly and a cool breeze flowed from within. Inside, they saw sparkling crystals floating in the air, swirling around something that resembled a giant heart-shaped artefact. Zoe took a step forward. "This is where the signal must be coming from.... But what if it's not just a transmitter? Maybe this thing has been waiting for us for a very long time..." At the same moment, there was a dragging, metallic sound. The artefact flashed with light and the shadows on the walls began to move. The corridors of the station were filled with echoes of ancient voices, and time and space began to collapse strangely around the heroes. Had they chosen the right path? What hides the heart of the Hyperion nebula?
