The Mystery of the Shimmering Spiral Beneath the Old Oak
**Leon and Hania loved spending time in the forest behind their house.**
Their favourite spot was a huge, old oak tree, where they often laid out a blanket and read books. One sunny afternoon, Leon noticed something strange – a new, shimmering mark in the shape of a spiral had appeared on the bark of the tree.
"Have you seen this before, Hania?" he whispered.
Hania stepped closer and touched the spiral with her finger. It felt soft and glowed faintly.
"I don’t think it’s just a snail trail," she said, eyes wide with wonder.
Suddenly, something rustled in the grass. They both froze. When they looked under the oak, they saw a small grey hedgehog dragging a piece of shiny ribbon behind it.
"Look! Where did he get that from?" Hania whispered, taking a step forward.
The hedgehog looked up at the children with its beady black eyes, then scurried into a small hole beneath the roots of the tree.
"Maybe he’s hiding something down there!" Leon exclaimed.
They sat quietly beside the hole, wondering what could be inside. Above them, the wind rustled through the leaves, and a sunbeam lit up the heart of the oak. Then, from within the tree, someone – or something – chirped softly and...
