The great expedition to the Dragon Forest
One warm morning, Leon woke up and noticed that something strange was happening in the garden behind the house. Birds were chirping songs he had never heard before and a small gate appeared at the end of the path laced with flowering vines.
Leon called out to his older sister Hania to show her the mysterious gate. Hania was very curious and together they decided to see where the path led. When they passed through the gate, the Dragon Forest appeared to their eyes. The trees looked like animals - one resembled a giant tortoise, another stood on one leg like a heron, and from afar they could hear grunts that made them shudder.
Hania cautiously grabbed her brother's hand. "I wonder where the sounds are coming from," she whispered. Leon spotted something glinting between the roots of a tortoise tree. It was a small green husk, as if lost by some creature.
Suddenly they heard laughter - somewhere in the thicket a small, purple dragon with huge eyes appeared. The dragon waved its tail at them and invited them to follow it. Leon and Hania moved off carefully, passing trees shaped like animals and the shimmering wings of butterflies as big as hats.
Deep in the forest, the dragon suddenly stopped under the largest tree, which resembled a sleeping lion. The dragon looked at its siblings and giggled:
"If you want to find out what lies beneath the crown of this tree, you must solve the riddle of the Dragon Forest!" - he said quietly, as if he didn't want anyone else to hear him.
Leon and Hania looked at each other with wide-open eyes. They were already about to ask the dragon what the riddle was, when....
