The Aurora Circus made an unannounced appearance in the town. At night, as the fog covered the streets, lights flashed and the first sounds of crimson fanfare began to ring out on the outskirts. All the adult residents felt anxious, but curiosity prevailed. The circus promised spectacles for a select few, shows that transcended the limits of known reality. Karolina, a student at the local university, met Adam and Sonia at the gate. They were always looking for a new experience, but this time it wasn't just about entertainment. Rumour had it that the night before, someone had seen a chimera artist disappearing into the thicket behind the tents, the lights going out faster than usual. In town, someone kept saying that whoever stares too long into the eyes of the Master of Illusion does not come back the same. The inside of the tent was brimming with the smells of smoke and heavy herbs. More artists were appearing in the arena: A faceless clown, an acrobat moving against gravity, a man swallowing burning roses. The audience clapped, but Karolina could feel the tension under her skin. Suddenly the lights dimmed and the Master of Illusion entered, wearing a black cloak trimmed with silver. His eyes shone like living lapis and his voice took over the space: "Today I am going to show you a number that no one in the world has ever seen before. But be warned - not everyone is ready to know the truth. Who will dare to cross the border between dream and java?" Adam and Sonia looked at each other uncertainly. Karolina felt someone lightly touch her arm. It was the artist-chimera. Her voice was a whisper: "Help me before it's too late. The Aurora Circus is not what it seems." As the lights flashed in the arena and the Master of Illusions began to recite the first words of the spell, the three friends had to decide Would they venture deep into the circus corridors to discover its true secret?
