Kasia really enjoyed spending time at her grandmother Jadzia's house. There was always the smell of warm bread in her grandmother's kitchen and the sunshine ran merrily across the sideboard. But the most important thing was the old wooden sideboard standing in the corner. The sideboard had large, round knobs and a painted door. Kasia always thought it was very ordinary-until one afternoon. On that day, Grandma Jadzia had gone out into the garden to pick strawberries, and Kasia was left alone in the kitchen.
