Kasia really enjoyed spending time at her grandmother Jadzia's house. There was always the smell of warm bread in her grandmother's kitchen and the sunshine ran merrily across the sideboard. But the most important thing was the old wooden sideboard standing in the corner. The sideboard had large, round knobs and a painted door. Kasia always thought it was very ordinary-until one afternoon. On that day, Grandma Jadzia had gone out into the garden to pick strawberries, and Kasia was left alone in the kitchen. She then heard a quiet: "Crunch, crunch!" She looked towards the sideboard. There was a spoon sticking out of one drawer, which.... was moving by itself! - Hey! - said the spoon in a thin voice. - Can you put me back in my seat? Kasia jumped up in surprise. - You... you say! - Of course! - the top-shelf teapot also spoke up. - And we like to talk when nobody's looking. But there's something rustling under the floor today! - whispered the teapot and looked at Kasia with porcelain eyes. Suddenly, a loud noise came from inside the cupboard: "Boom!" The door gently swung open and a silver fork with a crooked leg emerged from inside. - Help us! Something very unusual has appeared in the kitchen! - asked the fork. Kasia took a step towards the sideboard, feeling her heart beating faster. What could she find inside? And why was all the cutlery so excited? As she stood right next to the piece of furniture, she heard another sound-a quiet knocking, as if someone very small was trying to say something....
