In a certain small town, in a yellow house on the corner of a street, lived seven-year-old Susie. Her room was full of colour: red cushions, blue curtains and a green wardrobe. On one of the walls hung a large picture with cheerful animals: a pig, a cat, a parrot and a turtle. One morning, when Susie opened her eyes, she noticed that something was wrong. Her favourite red pillow had turned.... grey. She stood up as if she had been stunned, squeezed the pillow tightly and felt a strange shiver. - What's going on? - She whispered uncertainly. She looked at the picture. The piglet had only a pale pink spot left and the parrot had lost most of its colourful feathers. Only the turtle looked calm and seemed to be winking at Susie. Susie felt her heart beating faster and faster. She was a little frightened and a little curious. Was this some kind of joke? Or had something happened while she was sleeping? As she tried to guess what might have happened, she noticed something even more unusual - the kitten in the picture had a sad face and seemed to be looking directly at her. Susie felt sad, but also a little angry. After all, colours shouldn't just disappear like that! Suddenly, she heard a quiet rustling at the window. She cautiously approached the curtain and gently pushed it aside. Then she saw something move behind the glass.... Like a small, colourful shadow that flashed and disappeared. Susie held her breath, her heart beat even harder. Was it taking the colours out of her room? Were the picture animals trying to tell her something? Susie felt a whole range of emotions - surprise, fear, curiosity and courage, because she knew she had to find out what was going on here. She moved slowly towards the window, and then the picture pig moved its nose slightly....
