One sunny morning Susie woke up much earlier than usual. It was still quiet in her small, colourful room, but the little girl sensed that something special was going to happen today. On the bed, right next to her, purring was Twinkle - a little white cat with huge eyes and a fluffy tail. - Flicker, come! - whispered Susie. - Today we are going to the Enchanted Forest! Twinkle blinked her eyes and waved her tail. They both knew where the forest began. At the end of the garden, there was an old, spreading oak tree with a locked gate behind it. Zuzia always imagined that behind this gate a whole new world was waiting. The girl threw a purple rucksack over her back, stuffed a sandwich, an apple and a small notebook with crayons inside. A flicker popped into a special pocket. As soon as they crossed the gate, they smelt the delicate scent of flowers on their faces and heard the quiet sounds of a flute. The trees were huge here and the leaves were talking quietly to each other, as if they were telling funny jokes. Colourful butterflies appeared on the path and began to dance around Susie and Migotka. Suddenly, from behind a bush, a rabbit in a bowler hat jumped out. - Good morning! - He saluted very seriously. - Can I help you? There's something going on in the forest today, everyone can feel it! Susie smiled broadly and was about to ask something, when suddenly a low cry came from the distance. It got louder and louder, until finally a little otter in a red scarf fell from a branch in front of them! Out of breath, it sat down right under the girl's feet. - You have to help me! - cried the otter, catching its breath. - Something amazing has happened in the forest, and I can't do it alone! At the same moment, strange coloured lights flashed under the trees, and it became completely quiet all around. Susie looked at Migotka, and the rabbit in the bowler hat took on a very serious expression. Everything seemed both unusual and a little disconcerting at the same time. Would Susie and Shimmer dare to go further and find out what was waiting in the depths of the Enchanted Forest?
