Behind the large village where grandfather Boruta and grandmother Jagoda lived, a mysterious green forest grew. Every tree here whispered different tales, and animals quietly wandered along the forest paths. Little Zuzia loved to walk here. One day, when the sun was shining high, Susie suddenly heard a quiet splashing. She came closer and saw the Forest Pond, which the elders said held many secrets. There was a strangely shiny stick lying by the very bank, and something colourful flashed in the water. Susie bent down and saw that in the reflection of the pond there was a tiny golden crown! Suddenly, laughter came from the rushes - just like bells! Susie stopped for breath. Was it a mermaid? Or maybe a forest gnome? The girl decided to find out who lives in the depths of Forest Pond...
