Space disaster in 7A canteen

Space disaster in 7A canteen
There was something special in the air that morning at Casimir the Great Primary School No 39. The corridors smelled of slightly burnt toast and the janitor's instant coffee, and above the entrance, unbeknownst to me, there was a pink balloon with the words 'Party of a Lifetime' hanging from it. The main character, Hania, was in the third year of junior high school and was famous at school for her witty retorts, brilliant jokes and constant struggle with physics - especially equations. Today she was accompanied by Wojtek, the greatest master of the dryad in the whole of southern Poland, and Lena, who only spoke when she really needed to. All three of them sat at their favourite table in canteen 7A, which already smelled especially of... pea soup. - 'The pea soup today looks like it's made of jelly,' muttered Lena, watching the spoon bounce around with a loud 'boing'. - 'That's because Mrs Jadwiga ordered jelly yesterday but added peas by mistake,' replied Wojtek, shrugging his shoulders. - 'It's a miracle it's not on fire. Suddenly, among the steaming plates, strange things began to happen. First, the peas in Hania's pea soup began to form letters. Impatiently, Lena glanced into her compote cup and saw four cherries floating in it, as if.... blinking? - Something wrong with the food at your place too? - asked Hania, trying to reconstruct the writing that was forming on the surface of her soup. The letters began to come together to form a word: "RUN!". At the same time, a loud bang came from the kitchen. The door swung open impetuously and Mrs Jadwiga fell through it - on her apron there were clear traces of whipped cream, green peas and.... glitter stars. - Someone call the director! - she shouted, brandishing a ladle. - The school is in danger! The pea soup is alive! Everyone froze. Lena dropped her spoon and Wojtek howled: - This is probably not the best time for a joke about soup? Suddenly, something began to emerge from Hania's table. A pulsating, greenish mass jumped up, stretched like chewing gum and slowly glided towards the floor, leaving a trail of glowing particles behind it. Everyone stared at it as if mesmerised. Wojtek, always the first to make silly experiments, pulled out his phone and suggested in a whisper: - Why don't we chase her away with a disco polo song? Or we could call MasterChef? But before they could do anything, the mass suddenly jumped up and darted towards the door to the corridor. The canteen shook with a mighty roar, and Mrs Jadwiga threw a cloth helplessly. - Follow me! - shouted Lena, setting off in pursuit of the fleeing pea soup. Hania and Wojtek ran after her, not yet knowing that this was only the beginning of the biggest commotion in the history of the 7A school....
