In the heart of the Bialowieza Forest, where the sun's rays struggle to penetrate the dense treetops, life went on with its own age-old rhythm. This autumn, however, something changed. Animals began to disappear - first small rodents, then hares and finally even young deer. A wolf named Grom knew every nook and cranny of the forest. He was young, but already brave, curious and willing to take risks. Last night, his sister - the quiet, skittish Luna - had not returned. Thunder felt a shiver of anxiety. Before dawn, he went to the clearing where Luna had last been seen. The footprints were blurred, as if someone or something had deliberately blurred them. There was a silence around, unnatural even by wilderness standards. Thunder met an old badger who was trembling with fear and whispering about "a shadow moving silently between the trees". A magpie called to him from the boughs, warning him against venturing deeper, but curiosity was stronger than fear. As he considered his next steps, Grom noticed something unusual - in addition to animal tracks, there were oblong, completely alien prints on the mulch. They smelled of metal and something Grom had never smelled before. He decided to follow the mysterious tracks, although every fibre of his body was telling him to back off. As the forest began to thicken and the light was almost completely extinguished, he heard twigs breaking behind him. Thunder held his breath, his heart beating faster with each step of the unknown someone or something. Then a silhouette emerged from behind the trees....
