Shadows under the City of Lights
The City of Lights never went to sleep. Holographic advertisements lit up the sky, drones glided silently between skyscrapers, and on the streets people were absorbed in their own affairs, paying no attention to anything that was not happening on the surface. But beneath this glittering world lurked a secret that only a few suspected existed.
Sanna, Leo and Cuba - three friends from different ends of town - had one dream in common: to discover something that no one had seen before them. Their expeditions across rooftops, forgotten lifts and even virtual augmented reality tunnels usually led to harmless pranks and urban legends. But this night was different.
In a rainy backstreet at the back of an old cinema, where the city lights seemed faint and distant, Leo noticed an unusual luminous pattern reflected on the cobbled pavement. As he got closer, the pattern began to pulsate, as if waiting for someone's touch. Sanna, always sceptical, decided to touch the strange glow with her hand. To their surprise, the cobblestones under her fingers became soft, like the surface of water.
Before they had time to think about it, all three were pulled into the depths, falling into a vortex of colours, sounds and smells they couldn't even describe. They fell for a long time until they finally landed... in a completely different world. In front of them stretched wide streets made of mirrors and neon lights, and the air had the smell of laughter and the chirping of digital birds. But most astonishing of all was the huge clock with no hands that floated above their heads, slowly changing shape.
Leo tried to touch the surface of the mirror, which turned out to be as soft as velvet, while Cuba noticed that their shadows were beginning to move independently, dancing to the rhythm of non-existent music. Sanna, fascinated, moved towards the clock when suddenly they heard a quiet whisper:
- Only you can move on. But do you dare to discover what lies on the other side of your imagination...?
The friends looked at each other. Would they take the next step?
