Passage under the wardrobe
It all started on a gloomy, rainy evening when Lena, Oskar and Patrick were stuck alone in their aunt Ola's old house. The electricity went out, the internet went down and their smartphones discharged almost simultaneously. Sitting on the cold living room floor, they started joking about haunted houses and ghosts to relieve the tension.
But when Lena noticed something shiny underneath a heavy, old 1950s wardrobe, she couldn't resist checking out what it was. Oskar moved the piece of furniture with effort, while Patrick shone a headlamp torch found in the basement. Suddenly, a crack opened under the wardrobe - it was no ordinary hole, but something resembling a shimmering mirror through which light and moving shadows could be seen.
Lena, curious by nature, had to touch the surface of the portal. She felt a chill under her fingers, completely different from the temperature of the room. As soon as her hand disappeared inside, she felt a slight tug - as if something was pulling at her. She looked at the boys, but before she had time to warn them, the surface of the portal had swallowed her whole.
Patrick and Oskar looked at each other in horror, but they couldn't leave their friend alone. Without thinking, they plunged into the portal, feeling everything around them dissolve into swirling colours. For a moment they heard nothing but their own breathing. And then... they landed hard on the ground.
When they opened their eyes, Lena was already waiting for them. They were in a huge meadow, under a purple sky full of three moons. In the distance they could see strange, tall trees whose leaves resembled glass plates, and stone islands floating in the air. Beyond them, there was no one.
They heard the quiet rustling of grass. A figure emerged from behind the hill - tall, in a long silver cloak. Although she was a few metres away, Lena had the impression that he was looking straight at her.
The figure slowly approached and stopped exactly opposite them. Instead of a face, it had a smooth, shining mask in which all three moons were reflected. In her outstretched hand she held a key - one that neither of them had ever seen.
- 'You have come,' she said in a voice that reverberated simultaneously in their heads and around them. - Are you ready to learn the truth about this world?
Looking at each other, the three teenagers were not sure they wanted to hear the answer. But there was no turning back now...
