Nina and the clock of stopping moments
Nina really enjoyed going to the park, especially when there was the smell of fresh grass in the air. On this day, the sun was shining strongly and fluffy clouds flowed lazily in the sky. Nina was swinging on the blue swing when she suddenly noticed something shiny under an old oak tree. Curious, she walked closer and saw a small silver clock on a chain. It was no ordinary one - instead of hands it had spinning stars!
As Nina touched the clock, she heard a soft voice:
- Careful! It's a clock of arresting moments!
From behind a tree looked out Frederick the raccoon with a blue bow on his tail. Nina was surprised, because she had never seen a talking raccoon in the park before!
- 'A clock can stop time, but you have to know how to use it,' said Frederick, wrinkling his nose.
- 'Really? - Nina asked, looking at him with wide eyes.
- 'Try it if you want to. Just very carefully - the raccoon turned the clock with a tiny paw.
At the same moment everything froze. The wind stopped moving the leaves and the butterfly that flew by hung motionless in the air. Nina couldn't believe her eyes!
- Wow! - she whispered. - What else can this clock do?
But before Frederick had time to reply, a strange rustling sound came from the bushes. They both looked in that direction. Something was moving slowly through the thicket, leaving a trail of small paws behind it.
Nina squeezed the clock tighter and looked at Frederick. Should they stop time again? Or would it be better to hide behind an oak tree? Who or what was coming through the park?
