The Wolf Forest was waking up at night. The shadows of the trees, moved by the movement of the wind, arranged themselves in bizarre shapes on the damp litter. From the depths of the thickets emerged the slender silhouette of a lynx, its gleaming eyes vigilantly watching every move. The lynx's name was Grom and he was famous for his brave heart and irrepressible curiosity. That night, Grom was not alone. He was accompanied by the clever squirrel Sonia and the slightly too cautious hedgehog Franek. The three friends had already been hearing strange noises coming from deep in the forest for several days. Tonight, however, as the night grew thick and dark, disturbingly flickering lights appeared above the treetops. None of the inhabitants of the Wolf Forest could explain where they came from. No one, except the three friends, dared to check. Carefully, almost silently, they traversed the forest paths. Time and again, Sonia climbed higher to keep an eye on the situation from above, and Franek - though shaking with anxiety - bravely followed Grom. Soon they reached a small clearing where the lights shimmered, forming bizarre patterns. The paw prints of an unknown animal were sticking up from the ground, and there was a mysterious smell in the air that neither of them had known before. - What could it be? - whispered Sonia, jumping from branch to branch. - Are they people? Thunder stared at the lights, feeling his paws begin to tremble with excitement. Franek hid behind a stone, but couldn't take his eyes off the unusual phenomenon. At that moment, the lights suddenly went out. There was a deafening silence in the clearing, and a shadow emerged from the thicket - larger than any animal they knew.
