Before the first semester started, the Ignatius Bernard University was just one of the grey buildings in the city centre. But from the moment we got there - me, Michael, and my pack: Basia, Marek and Weronika - we knew that this place had something special. However, no one guessed how wrong we were. Our school was famous for its long, gothic corridors and massive iron doors leading to the forbidden wing, which, legend had it, had been locked for over a hundred years. Every student knew the tale, although no one admitted to believing in ghosts. One evening, as we were returning from the library, Basia noticed something strange. There was a light seeping through a crack under the iron door, which had not been there before. We stood still for a moment, listening to the silence disturbed only by our quickened breaths. - Do you think there's someone in there? - whispered Marek, looking at us with a mixture of excitement and fear. We didn't answer. Instead, Basia moved first. The door, surprisingly, gave way under her touch, creaking draughty. Our hearts pounded like crazy as we crossed the threshold. Inside, it was semi-darkness, with a golden light flickering at the end of the corridor. Dust particles flew through the air, and we could feel a soft layer of long-uncleaned dust under our shoes. We approached the light, which turned out to come from a tall mirror, standing alone in the midst of the void. Its frame was entwined with swirling floral motifs. The surface itself, however, looked strange - it reflected not us, but someone else entirely. We stared mesmerised when suddenly there was a quiet sigh from behind us and the sound of a slowly closing door. We turned around terrified, and in the reflection of the mirror we saw....
