In the middle of the Whispering Forest lived a little fox called Leo. Leo ran around the colourful clearing every day, playing hide and seek with the butterflies and hopping through the soft mosses. His best friend was his owl Susie, who knew all about trees and could tell amazing stories. One morning Leo noticed something very strange. There were fresh paw prints on the path leading to the clearing - completely different from the paws of any of their familiar animals. Leo quickly ran to Susie's hollow and called out: - Susie, someone's been here! Look at these footprints! Susie flew over to a branch and looked at the ground. Her big eyes opened wide with surprise. - Oh my, such footprints I see for the first time! - she said. The fox and the owl decided to follow the footprints. They walked through rustling ferns, past streams and old stones, until they came to a place where the footprints were starting to get bigger and clearer. Suddenly, from behind a large stone, they heard a quiet crunching and a mysterious rustling. Leo squatted closer to Susie, his heart beating faster than ever. The owl ruffled its feathers and whispered: - Someone's there, Leo! We have to see who it is! And then something shiny slid out from behind a stone....
