In a tiny village just outside the Spruce Woods lived Johnny. Every morning he ran barefoot on the grass together with his faithful friend Sophie. One day, when the sun was barely peeking out from behind the clouds, Johnny called Zosia to go into the forest together to pick berries. As they walked between the tall spruce trees, they noticed something very strange: large paw prints were imprinted on the soft moss. They did not resemble the footprints of any animal they knew! They were round and as if.... coloured sparks were glowing in the middle. Zosia whispered: "Maybe these are Leszy's footprints? My grandfather said that Leszy is a forest spirit who guards the trees and sometimes plays tricks on those who don't respect the forest." Johnny knelt down by one footprint. "Look, here's a little stick stuck in the ground! And I think... can you hear it? Someone is singing quietly behind those bushes over there!" The children looked at each other with wide-open eyes. Zosia took Jas's hand and together, step by step, they began to approach the bushes behind which the mysterious singing was coming from. Then something moved in the shadows and two green lights flashed through the leaves...
