In the old, pastry-smelling kitchen at Mrs Basia's house stood a large, blue cupboard. No one knew that it was here, among the bowls, cups and pots, that something special was hidden. Hania and Jaś often helped their grandmother. One day, as the sun was shining through the window, they heard a quiet whisper: - Hey, is someone here? - asked the silver spoon, clattering against the plate. - Quiet, or they'll hear us! - hissed a pot with coloured ears. Hania was stunned. Johnny opened his eyes wide. - Do you hear the same thing as me? - asked Hania in a whisper. Grandma Basia was in the garden, so the children decided to open the cupboard. Suddenly, the teacup started bouncing: - Help! The kitchen clock is lost and there's still something going on behind the lowest drawer! What was hiding behind the drawer? And was the kitchen clock really gone? The children took a deep breath and slowly slid out the drawer....
