Moonlight Mirror
At the back of an old building, where the cobbled streets met the wild greenery of a forgotten park, Lena and Michal found a strange door they had never seen there before. It was already night, the mist was wrapping the trees in a silver veil and the quiet laughter of bats was coming from the distance.
They didn't know why they had decided to go out that night - and why, following a whisper, they had found themselves here. Michael knelt down and gently pushed the door open. It creaked draughty and the icy scent of moon dew wafted from behind it.
Inside, a room full of mirrors awaited - each different, each decorated with bizarre motifs: dragon wings, wolf heads, glittering jewels. But the largest of them, at the very centre, was so clear that it seemed as if it had no surface but sparkling water on which the moon was reflected.
- 'Lena, look,' whispered Michael. - It's moving.
Indeed, shadows were flickering in the centre of the mirror. First streaks of light, then clearer shapes: palaces in the clouds, birds flitting through the sky, and finally... something that resembled the hazy silhouettes of people stretching their arms towards them.
Suddenly the room was filled with a soft glow. The mirror began to vibrate, the light from it spreading across the walls, revealing mysterious runes on the wallpaper. The door behind them slammed shut with a bang.
A mystery hung in the air: should she touch the surface of the mirror and discover what waits on the other side, or try to find a way out before it's too late?
But the sounds from behind the sheet were increasing... And then Lena felt the gentle touch of someone's cool hand on her palm, even though there was no one around.
