Microchip Affair at the High School of Comedy
Seven o'clock in the morning, Stanislaw Barei High School of Comedy. The corridors smelled of coffee from the vending machine, chalk and a stale mathematician's joke. Nadia, a master of sarcasm, was just struggling with a jammed lock of her locker when Bartek, a self-proclaimed inventor who had recently tried to construct a gadget pen but accidentally blew up the toast in the canteen, sneaked past.
- 'It's not me, it's Murphy's Laws,' he explained to the headmaster at the time. Now he had a gleam in his eye again and pockets full of wires.
Next to them appeared Zosia - the school meme queen, author of the most popular cartoons on the class Facebook page. Without warning, the door to the physics room opened and out of it fell Mr Boris, a teacher with a reputation for eccentricity:
- Has anyone seen my quantum calculator? - he asked, nervously tweaking his purple tie.
At the same moment there was a disturbing noise: kilos of ... popcorn spilled out of the lockers. popcorn. The whole corridor looked like a film set after an attack by a pack of greedy hamsters.
Nadia, Bartek and Zosia looked at each other. They all knew that no one at school had such a sophisticated sense of humour or access to microcontrollers that could run all the lockers at once. Well, except Bartek, but he was too busy fixing his pen to bother with popcorn.
Suddenly there was a mysterious sign on the board: "THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING. CURIOUS WHO'S NEXT?"
The friends vowed to each other to discover who was behind the microchip affair. The trail led to the robotics lab, where apparently someone had recently ordered a packet of exotic transistors. As they entered the lab, they heard a strange rustling noise - and then, from behind a pile of cables, a mysterious silhouette in a hoodie emerged....
