It was always fun in the town of Grasshoppers. The grasshoppers, with their different coloured trousers and hats, lived in houses made of leaves, right by the big pond. Every day started with laughter and ended with fooling around - grasshoppers loved to play pranks! They were most fond of pranks: races in jumping through lettuce leaves, letting bubbles fly through tubes of grass or balancing on twigs. The most mischievous were the three friends: Giga, Miga and Wiga. They always had heads full of ideas. One morning, when Giga opened the door of her leafy cottage, she saw something very strange. All the paths in the playground were covered with shiny, laughing footprints. Yes, they really were footprints that giggled: 'Hi-hi-hi!' every time anyone stepped on them! Giga called out to Miga and Wiga. The three friends crouched by the footprints, trying to smell them. The footprints smelled like candyfloss! - Is this a new kind of joke? - asked Wiga, trying to lick one footprint with her long tongue. - Maybe someone had very funny shoes? - wondered Miga, spinning around her own axis. Soon the whole playground was sounding from giggles, as each grasshopper child ran after the footprints, trying to find the end of them. The footprints led to a large stone by the pond. And from behind the stone came a strange, funny screeching sound, as if someone was trying not to laugh out loud. Giga, Miga and Wiga stood in front of the stone. They counted to three and slowly, very slowly, they looked behind the stone....
