Outside the window it was raining over Lila's block of flats. The little girl was counting the drops and was bored. Next to her purring was her cat, the striped Donut. Books and an old atlas stood on a shelf. Lila moved the atlas and something squeaked. Behind it she saw a small, round door. A golden key on a string was stuck in the lock. - Do you see it, Pod? - whispered Lila. The cat moved its whiskers and looked at the door. Lila turned the key and it clicked like clockwork. Behind the door colours swirled, like a little rainbow. A breeze blew from the shelf and stirred the pages. A quiet whisper could be heard: "Quick, it's time!". Doughnut tapped the edge of the small door with his paw. The door rose and became a tall gate. Beyond the gate, bridges twinkled and islands glowed. Somewhere far away a moonlight train ran. - Are you holding me tight? - Lila asked. She took a step, and the room began to tilt. The colours jumped, the wind swirled, and something rustled close by....
