The silence of the Bor resounded with whispers that only a few could understand. Kupala Night, the shortest and also the hottest night of the year, swept over the whole area around the village of Lesnogród. As the inhabitants celebrated around a huge bonfire, three teenagers - Lena, Igor and Slawko - far from the crowd planned their own expedition. For them, the myth of the Fern Flower, which blooms once a year, was not just a statement from the elders, but a challenge. The forest had always drawn them to it, but today it tempted them more than usual. Between the trees, under the moonlight, the music of the flute echoed, played by no man. Igor, a sceptic by inclination, kept repeating that it was just the wind, but Lena - the herbalist's daughter - sensed that on this night the line between humans and something older and incomprehensible was extremely thin. They were preparing for an adrenaline-pumping expedition. Slawko, known for his courage and irrepressible curiosity, led them along the path that old legends had shown him. Through thickets and swamps, they walked towards the heart of the Bor, where, according to Lena's grandmother's story, you can not only find a miraculous flower, but also meet creatures whose names are not spoken aloud. In the thick of the forest, lit up by the first skylights, Lena stopped suddenly. Among the ferns, she saw something that flashed with blue light. Igor turned pale, though he tried to hide his emotions under a mask of derision. As they came closer, they heard laughter - not quite human, not quite animal. A figure emerged from the shadows - tall, slender, with long hair resembling moss. Her eyes glistened like dewdrops, and a raven with a scarlet beak rested on her shoulder. The figure spoke in a low, melodious voice: - You seek the Fern Flower, but it is not at all what you think it is. Are you ready to learn the truth about Bor? The night seemed to tighten its circle around them, and the silence once again began to rustle with unseen words. The three friends froze in stillness, feeling that this expedition would change them forever....
