Kajtek and the Blue Hat
Kajtek liked rainy days best in the world. That was when he could climb the wooden stairs to the attic at his grandmother's house. There it smelled of old paper, cinnamon and adventure. One afternoon, as the drops drummed on the window, Gus again went in search of wonderful treasures.
In the attic stood large, colourful boxes full of teddy bears, funny hats and books with illustrations. Gus walked between the trunks until suddenly he spotted something shiny under the very window. It was an old hat - not an ordinary one, but quite blue, with a big feather and a golden buckle.
Kajtek gently took the hat in his hands and put it on his head. At the same moment, he felt a slight tickle in his nose, as if a flock of butterflies had danced under his shirt. Then he saw the floor under his feet begin to shimmer with colours - green, yellow, purple!
Before he could blink, he found himself in a whole new place. He was stepping on soft, pink grass, with animal-shaped balloons swirling around him. Right next to him ran funny creatures - some with wings, others with hats similar to the one on Kajtek's head. One of them, yellow as a lemon, jumped towards him and called out:
- Hi, Kajtek! Will you help us find the Lost Breeze today?
Kajtek was very curious to see what such a thing might be. He was about to ask what the Breeze looked like, when suddenly he felt the air around him begin to vibrate....
