In the heart of the colourful town of Red Button stood a hat shop. It was run by the well-known Hatter Kacper. He had a red moustache, a green apron and always daring ideas for original headwear. Kacper's hats were huge, tiny, ridiculously twisted or shiny like a plum in a jar. He knew exactly how to make a hat with a bell, and even one that sang songs about the weather! One morning Kacper woke up exceptionally early. This was no ordinary day! Today there was to be a big hat show, to which all the townspeople and even Mayor Bladzioch himself were invited. Kacper called his friend Sabinka the magpie to help him prepare his stand. Sabine loved sparkles, so every now and then she tried to steal sequins and buttons from the hats, much to Kacper's amusement. When everything was almost ready, a breathless Zdzisio Żuk came into the shop with... a pot on his head! a pot! - Kacper, save me! - he called out. - I tried to make myself a new hat for the show, but the pot got stuck for good! - Zdzisio looked so comical that Sabinka squealed with laughter and knocked all the colourful feathers off the counter. So Kacper set about rescuing Zdzisio. At this time, Sabinka noticed that one of the hats, the huge one with the bunny ears, started to move of its own accord! First it shook slightly, then it moved a centimetre and suddenly... she heard a quiet giggling coming from inside the hat. Sabin moved closer cautiously, Kacper also stopped helping Zdzis for a moment and looked surprised towards the hat. What or who was hiding inside? Is the hat really alive? Silence fell in the shop, and everyone looked at the big hat, which had just started... bouncing.
