Hania and the star tent
A big blue circus tent stood in town. It smelled of popcorn and fresh candyfloss. Hania was clutching a ticket with a glitter star on it. - Let's sit close, Grandpa - she whispered with a smile. Inside, the lights shone like little stars. The gentleman in the cylinder tapped his cane on the ground. - Welcome to the Galop Circus! - he called out loudly. The crowd clapped loudly and feet stomped to the rhythm.
The first to come out was the clown Fikol and he spun the plates. Then a couple on a silver swing flew by. Hania even held her breath for a second. Suddenly, the little dog Bubble pulled her string. A red balloon ribbon fell out of her pocket. Bubble barked briefly and ran backstage. Hania followed quietly, holding her grandfather's hand. - Just for a moment - she promised very seriously.
Behind the stage there was the smell of paint and hay for the pony. A box in stars stood, locked with a golden lock. Bubble barked at it as if something was moving. - Is this a magician's prop? - asked Hania in a whisper. Suddenly the lights dimmed and a long snare drum sounded. The gentleman in the cylinder was looking for someone with his eyes at the ropes. - Need a helper now! - he called out into the backstage area. The box vibrated once more and the lock clicked loudly
