Granny Zosia's Enchanted Kitchen
One afternoon Marysia visited her grandmother Zosia. Grandma lived in a little yellow house with a big garden and singing birds outside the window. Marysia always really liked going to her grandmother's house because there was the smell of fresh cake and lots of interesting things to discover.
That day, Grandma baked a delicious apple pie and let Marysia have a look into her big kitchen. There were colourful pots, shiny spoons, a rustling curtain in the window and funny porcelain cups, each in a different colour. Marysia sat down at the table and started looking around. Suddenly she heard a quiet: "Shh!"
Startled, she looked around, but her grandmother was far away on the veranda. "It's probably the wind," thought Mary. But immediately afterwards something rattled in the cupboard, as if someone had knocked on the door.
A small porcelain cup with blue flowers peeked out from behind the sugar bowl. "Hey, over here!" - she said quietly. Marysia opened her eyes wide. Was that the teacup talking? A silver spoon moved next to it and winked at the girl. The oldest pot on the cooker sighed deeply and stretched with a loud clang. "Hello, Mary!" - he said in a voice that resembled the clatter of plates after dinner. "We've been waiting for you all morning!"
Marysia squatted down as far as she could see. Then all the objects in the kitchen began to move and speak. The yellow salt shaker danced on the table, the cream jug swished its ears and the jam jar twisted and flicked its lid. "Come and play with us!" - they called out.
Marysia was very curious to see what else Grandma Zosia's enchanted objects could do. But before she could ask the first question, the kitchen was suddenly filled with whispered voices: "Something is coming... Time for an extraordinary adventure!"
At the same moment, the cupboard door slowly began to open, and a quiet murmuring came from inside the cupboard....
