Did You Know?

Gateway to Eteria

Gateway to Eteria
The old house on the hill has always made Lena shiver with excitement. She had recently moved here, after having moved to a town that, at first glance, seemed ordinary and boring. However, on her very first day, she felt that the house held more secrets than its dilapidated façade revealed. What intrigued her most was the cellar - cold, dark and smelling of dust. One evening, as the storm raged in earnest, Lena heard a strange metallic buzzing from down there. Unable to contain her curiosity, she went down the stairs. The torchlight illuminated a series of dusty shelves, laced with cobwebs, until suddenly its light fell on something she hadn't seen before: a door of sleek black metal, completely incongruous with the rest of the cellar. Mysterious symbols glittered on their surface, shimmering as if absorbing the light. Lena approached cautiously and ran her finger over one of them - she felt a slight shiver, as if she had touched something extremely cold for a moment. From among the nooks and crannies of the cellar a murmur came to her - a breath? A whisper? Suddenly the door trembled under her touch and began to slowly swing open. Through the crack, a hazy glow entered the cellar, and beyond it stretched a view quite unlike anything Lena had seen before. A vast emerald forest, a sparkling lake, and between them beings with luminous eyes, waiting for the stranger to arrive. There was an electric tension in the air and the smell of something alien. Lena knew that one step would be enough to find herself on the other side....
