Expedition to the Wall of Wind
Lena, Michal and Patrick were spending a lazy afternoon in the old attic of their grandfather's house. Dust hovering from the ceiling danced in the sunlight that streamed in through the window. They were browsing through piles of yellowed books and creaking boxes when suddenly Patrick pushed aside a strange, heavy box. Something squeaked underneath.
"Look!" - shouted Michael, pointing to a section of yellow map sticking out of a gap in the floor.
A moment later, Lena was holding the carefully folded parchment in her hand. Their eyes widened in amazement. The map showed a drawing of a forest, a vast lake and something that resembled a large wall, cut in half by lightning. Next to it was a sentence written in cursive script: "Behind the Wall of Wind waits one who is not afraid of the truth".
In the evening they sat in the kitchen, whispering plans for the expedition. Their town, surrounded by forests, had always seemed quiet and predictable to them, but now there was a smell of mystery in the air.
The next day, with backpacks stuffed with essentials, they set off following the map. They walked through a dense forest, crossed a bridge over a meandering river until they reached a fog-shrouded, abandoned town - forgotten by time.
In the main square, under the old clock, they found a stone with the symbol of lightning engraved on it. From the middle of the mist, a murmur came to them - as if someone was calling them by name. For a moment, everyone froze.
Did they have the courage to take the next step and discover the secret hidden behind the Wall of Wind? Their hearts beat harder as the mist began to part and a silhouette emerged in front of them.... Exactly like the one from their grandfather's legends.
