At the end of the fjord stands a Viking village. Eira, a curious and fast girl, lives here. Her dad, Bjorn, builds boats and often paddles far away. Today Eira has a small shield and a red scarf. She likes to watch the drakkars and listen to the singing of the waves. Today Eira's first cruise will be on a calm bay. The drakkar Silver Seal is already standing by the long pier. Bjorn says: "Hold on tight, my little explorer." Olaf hands over the oar and smiles broadly at Eira. Fog silently drifts down from the mountains, like a milky veil. Suddenly the seagulls fall silent and the water becomes smooth. Something taps lightly on the side, like a finger on a drum. Eira bends down and looks deep into the dark water. Beneath the surface, a large golden eye suddenly flashes. "Dad, is that a giant seal?" whispers Eira. Then, right next to her, a shiny, unfamiliar shape emerges from the water.
