Earth 7B: Mystery of the Green Dome

Earth 7B: Mystery of the Green Dome
Nela lay on the roof of the old garage and looked up at the sky. It was late afternoon, the air smelled of June rain and the sounds of summer fun were coming from the neighbouring gardens. But Nela couldn't focus on anything other than the strange reflection in the glass of her phone - when she looked at a certain angle, she could clearly see a section of the plant-covered dome instead of her own face. More strangely, once she tried to touch this image, she felt a brief shudder, as if a faint wave of electricity had passed through her fingers. A few days later, in the same place, together with Jonah and Maja, she decided to see if it was just her imagination. They each took a phone and tried to repeat the same movement. To their surprise, Maja saw the same thing - a green dome that wasn't actually there. Jonah, sceptical by nature, smiled sceptically, but when his screen also showed something strange, the smile faded. "It's probably some kind of app or filter effect," he chuckled, although a note of uncertainty could be heard in his voice. For the next week they explored the space around the garage and placed the phones in all sorts of positions, until finally - at exactly sunset - Nela accidentally touched the screen and her finger literally fell into the cool green light. The others were stunned as they watched her hand slowly disappear into the emerald glow. "Do you see it?" - Nela asked, shaking with emotion. Without many words, Jonah grabbed her hand and Maja squeezed her mobile phone tightly. The screen flared, the world around them swirled and the garage roof disappeared from under their feet. They found themselves in a huge, damp-smelling greenhouse, full of unfamiliar plants, and a ceiling of green glass stretched above them. Struggling to catch their breath, they heard a deafening clatter somewhere in the depths of the dome. The plants slowly began to move, as if something - or someone - was approaching them faster and faster....
