Maja had a helmet and great curiosity. Next to her sat Kacper and the Piko robot. The Fox rocket was waiting at the school spaceport. Captain Ina closed the hatch and smiled. - Ready for a short flight to the moon? - Ready! - replied Maja and nodded her head. The rocket lifted off and fell into the silent sky. The earth grew smaller; it was like a green-blue ball. Satellites flashed around and a distant station glowed. Piko suddenly caught a very strange signal. A point from the dark side was dancing on the screen. - 'That sounds like a cry for help,' whispered Piko. The captain turned and the Fox descended over the moon. They stopped in the bright, cold crater of Echo. Dust rose slightly with each step. A smooth silver ball lay on the rim. A small blue light smouldered inside. Piko touched the ball and opened the antenna. They heard a quiet, trembling sound: Hello, is anyone there? Maja crouched down and put her hand to the sand. The sand trembled like water, showed a metal door. The door had stars and slowly slid open. Behind them something moved and a light came on.
