Casper and Martha versus the Fridge Crisis
Kacper lounged on the sofa, reading the menu of a local pizzeria, while Martha wandered around the kitchen with the look of Sherlock Holmes searching for more traces of coffee. It was Friday evening and their flat smelled of reheated popcorn and the lazy atmosphere of the weekend.
- Do we have anything else besides stale bread and ketchup? - asked Marta, looking into the fridge, which made a strange clinking sound.
Kacper looked up from his favourite part of "Four cheese pizza - myth or reality?".
- Did you hear that? - He asked, glancing suspiciously towards the fridge.
- 'I heard it, and not for the first time,' Marta replied, then tapped on the fridge door. The fridge responded with.... a bouncing sound.
At that moment, the light on the kitchen counter came on, although no one touched it. Kacper and Marta exchanged glances.
- Maybe this is a sign that we should invest in a juice diet? - joked Kacper, but his joke was drowned out by the fridge's 'burbling', which clearly meant dissatisfaction.
Martha pulled the handle and.... the fridge door fell open with a bang, revealing not only shelves full of suspicious-looking jars, but also a shiny green eyeball peering at them from behind a packet of mayonnaise.
- 'I don't think this is a jelly pickle...' - whispered Marta. Kacper hid behind her, desperately trying to find his torch phone in his pocket.
The fridge blinked twice and....
