Adventures in the Utensils Drawer
Lenka lived in a small yellow house with blue shutters. She liked her room best - especially the drawer with her drawing utensils. One rainy afternoon, when she couldn't go outside, she decided to draw a big lion. She opened the drawer and.... suddenly she heard a soft little voice: "Ouch, softer!".
Lenka looked around puzzled. Was it the pen speaking? She looked inside, and there the crayon green smiled at her and whispered: "Hi, Lenka! I have an overwhelming desire to draw a tree today!". Behind her, the blue eraser spoke up: "And I feel like hopping around the page like a frog!".
Lenka watched with wide-open eyes as more utensils began to talk. The red marker boasted that it had once drawn a monster with six tails, and the ruler giggled, recalling the day it made a bridge for an ant.
- Let's do something crazy today! - suggested the pencil. - How about drawing a world where everything is upside down?
- But where do we find upturned things? - asked a curious Lenka.
- That's easy! - exclaimed the eraser. - After all, we all have imaginations here! Close your eyes and it's about to start!
Lenka closed her eyes, and when she opened them....
Everything around her changed. The drawer turned into a huge city with streets full of colourful crayons, dancing scissors and singing lines! Lenka felt as if she was suddenly in another world.
Suddenly, a strange sound came from deep within the city - something was loudly rolling towards Lenka and her new friends. The appendages were immediately silenced. What could it have been?
