A clock that could talk
Ola had a beautiful old clock with coloured hands in her room. The clock stood on a shelf just above her bed and ticked quietly every day, counting down the time until morning. Ola often looked at it before bed and thought what story it could tell, if only it could talk. One evening, when the trees were humming outside the window and the silver moon was shining in the sky, Ola suddenly heard a quiet voice.
"Ola, Ola! Can you hear me?" - whispered someone very close by. The girl looked around surprised. Then she saw the hands of the clock trembling and.... moving of their own accord!
"It's me, your clock! I need your help," said the clock quietly so as not to wake anyone up. "There's a little enchanted spark hidden inside me that's afraid of the dark. We must find it before the sun comes out! But we have to be careful, because other objects in the room also wake up at night..."
At that moment, a funny little voice sounded from the shelf under the window, and something began to buzz gently on the desk.... Ola held her breath, because she didn't know who else was about to speak!
