One rainy Wednesday, Zosia was sitting in her room, arranging her books on a shelf. Suddenly, completely by chance, she noticed something shiny under the bed. She reached out her hand and pulled out an old, golden alarm clock she had never seen before. As soon as Zosia touched the clock hand, the alarm clock rang loudly: “Bim, bam, boom!” And then… the whole room whirled! Zosia felt herself flying like a feather. Suddenly, her beloved cat, Dot, appeared next to her and meowed in surprise. After a moment, the ground beneath her feet stopped spinning, and Zosia opened her eyes. She and Dot were standing in the middle of a colourful meadow, with huge fairy flowers they had never seen growing all around them. Children’s laughter could be heard in the distance, and clouds in the shape of animals were streaming across the sky. Zosia took Dot in her arms and looked ahead. At the end of the meadow was a big, old clock with a door that moved. The door suddenly opened, and a head emerged from inside…
