Zorania's lost code
In the old wing of the Ignacy Zdrójkowski Secondary School, where no one had looked in unnecessarily for a long time, the air smelled of dust and the floor creaked underfoot. It was there, among the dusty showcases and deserted studios, that Lena, Bartek and Szymon met. No one but them knew about their secret club "Guardians of the Imagination". They came here after lessons to exchange stories and invent their own worlds.
Lena was the leader - she always had a head full of ideas and was surprisingly easy to spot things that others missed. Bartek, on the other hand, knew more about computers than anyone else and was able to turn broken equipment into something new. Simon seemed thoughtful, but it was his drawings that brought the stories they were making up to life.
One cloudy afternoon, Lena pulled a tattered book out of her rucksack that she had found at the bottom of an old wardrobe. The pages were yellowed, the letters fuzzy, but the title 'Zorania Code' sounded like it was a fragment of an unknown cipher. When Lena showed her friends the strange illustration inside - a door without a handle, surrounded by a spiral of symbols - they immediately felt a thrill of excitement.
"Do you think this is some kind of game?" - wondered Bartek, trying to scan the drawing with his phone. To his surprise, the phone suddenly switched off, even though the battery was full. Simon leaned over the book and noticed the writing barely visible in ink under the picture:
"Imagination opens more doors than you think."
From that moment on, strange things began to happen in the school wing. New scratches appeared on the wall in the old studio, which did not resemble any familiar graffiti. They heard whispers, as if someone was calling them by name, even though they were there alone. Lena found a code made up of numbers and letters in a book that did not give her peace of mind.
Finally, as night fell faster than usual, they decided to find the door from the illustration. The silence in the wing was almost palpable, each creak of the floor echoing in her head. As they made their way through the nooks and crannies, they suddenly saw a door at the end of the corridor that they had not seen before. It was identical to the one in the picture, surrounded by glowing symbols through which a soft, bluish glow shone.
Bartek reached out his hand to touch the handle, which, according to the drawing, was not there at all.
And then...
