A cold mist drifted through the streets, carrying the whisper of leaves and the distant echo of the city. Julia, a third-year student at the Academy of Fine Arts, was just returning home after an evening lecture when her attention was caught by a pulsating glow hidden between the old halls on the outskirts. The unusual light and sounds attracted her like a magnet. She approached uncertainly, crossing a rusty gate behind which stood a huge red and white tent. Above the entrance was a neon sign: "Night Circus of Transformation - today only!". Julia felt a slight tingle on the back of her neck. In the crowd stood people in masks, dressed in old-fashioned costumes, whispering something among themselves. The ticket taker, a tall man with eyes like steel needles, handed her a ticket - it seemed to glitter slightly in the light. Once inside, she was greeted by an unusual atmosphere: the stage blurred in places as if in a dream, and the performers were surrounded by an aura of mystery. The tightrope walker moved so confidently that he looked like he was walking on water, and the magician was pulling things out of his hat that only existed in his imagination. Julia sat in the second row. Next to her sat a girl in a black cloak and with a paper rose in her hand. The announcer's voice came from the loudspeaker: "Welcome to the Circus of Changes! Today, it is not only the audience who watches the shows - today the audience is part of the show...". The jugglers took to the stage, their balls melting into the air, shining with changing colours. No one knew when the show stopped being just a performance - and became something more. Julia felt her body vibrate slightly, the view took on distinct colours. The audience began to change - some stopped being fully themselves, others gained new characteristics. Just what would this transformation be? Is it a game, an experiment, or something much riskier? All eyes were on the stage, waiting for the final, most important performance of the night....
